JIM IS CAPTURED BY THE PIRATES/ JIM E’ CATTURATO DAI PIRATI

When I arrived at the house it was night. I climbed over the fence. Inside the house everything was black.

Quando arrivai alla casa era notte. Scavalcai la palizzata. Dentro la casa era tutto nero.

Then another voice shouted: “Who goes?” It was Long John Silver!

Poi un’altra voce gridò: “Chi va là?” Era Long John Silver!

“What a surprise!” he said. “It’s Jim. What are you doing here?”

“Che sorpresa!” disse. “E’ Jim. Che ci fai qui?”

“Where’s the Doctor,” I asked. “And where are the Squire and the Captain?”

“Dov’è il Dottore?” chiesi. “E dove sono il Cavaliere e il Capitano?”

“The Doctor and your friends are hiding. And look! They gave us the treasure map. Why do you think they did that?” said Silver.

“I have no idea,” I answered.

“Il Dottore e i tuoi amici si stanno nascondendo. E guarda! Ci hanno dato la mappa del tesoro. Perché pensi che l’abbiano fatto?” disse Silver.

“Non ne ho idea”, risposi.

“The Doctor is very angry with you for running away,” said Silver. “You are a pirate now.”

“No! No! No!” I shouted. “I will never be a pirate!”

“Il Dottore è molto arrabbiato con te per essere scappato via”, disse Silver. “Sei un pirata adesso.”

“No! No! No!” urlai. “Non sarò mai un pirata!”

But I was very afraid. My friends had disappeared – perhaps for ever!

Ma avevo molta paura. I miei amici erano scomparsi, forse per sempre!

LOOKING FOR TREASURE/ CERCANDO IL TESORO

The next day, all the pirates woke up early.

Il giorno dopo, tutti i pirati si svegliarono presto.

“We’re going to find treasure today,” said Long John Silver. “Dick, here’s the treasure map.”

“Oggi troveremo il tesoro”, disse Long John Silver. “Dick, ecco la mappa del tesoro.”

Everyone climbed over the fence. And Long John Silver tied me to his arm – like an animal!

Tutti scavalcarono la palizzata. E Long John Silver mi legò al suo braccio, come un animale!

“This way,” said Dick, looking at the map. And all the pirates followed.

“Da questa parte,” disse Dick, guardando la mappa. E tutti i pirati lo seguirono.
